Bruny Island Adventure Cruise

The Bruny Island Adventure Cruise is Islander Adventure Co's standalone maritime experience: a private 2 hour journey through the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, the sheltered waterway separating Bruny Island from mainland Tasmania. The cruise is hosted by Cameron and Lezli Burgess, full-time North Bruny residents, aboard Islander's open-air vessel.

The route travels south toward the historic Neck and/or north into the mouth of the Derwent, where Iron Pot Lighthouse has stood since 1832. The exact course is determined on the day based on conditions and group preference. Along the way, guests take in coastal perspectives on this section of the Tasmanian coastline, with opportunities to sight local wildlife including seals, seabirds, and dolphins.

The cruise departs from either Kettering, Tasmania, or Barnes Bay, Bruny Island, making it suited both to travellers based in Hobart and Southern Tasmania and to guests already staying on Bruny Island.

As the vessel is open-air, guests are advised to dress in warm layers regardless of season, as conditions on the channel are usually cold.

Duration: approximately 2 hours. Departure point confirmed at time of booking. Private charter, up to 8 passengers.
